Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to theoretically investigate a solar powered 60kW absorption cooling system. The system consists of a combined ejector single-effect absorption cycle coupled with a linear Fresnel solar concentrator and uses water/lithium bromide as the working fluid. The combined ejector single-effect absorption cycle exhibits high performance nearly comparable to that of a double-effect absorber. However, it requires a higher drive heating temperature compared to conventional single-effect machines.
