Abstract

The study examines how African anthropological concepts have evolved over time, and the challenges that arise from the
inconsistencies between these concepts and the realities on the ground. The paper further proposes possible ways to bridge this
gap and reconcile African anthropological conceptions with reality. Specifically, the study advocates for a multidisciplinary
approach that draws on different sources of knowledge and involves local communities in the research process. Ultimately, the
paper aims to contribute to a better understanding of African societies and to the development of more relevant and effective
policies and interventions.
